Products Introduction
Honeycomb Tank
A rainwater storage tank is a structure that prevents flooding by simply storing in the basement the large amount of rainwater that occurs when there is heavy rain and at the same time, allows the stored rainwater to be used when there is a lack of water resources (dry season). P&I’s rainwater storage tank has great constructability and improves structural stability through its honeycomb structure.
Overview of Facility
Product Description
Facility Introduction Clip
  • Excellent Constructability

Construction is simple as it involves vertical assembly

Infinite expansion construction : suitable for small-scale, medium-scale and large-scale facilities

  • Affordable Construction Cost

As the construction period is short, the construction cost is low

As it is possible to store a large quantity of materials on-site, the distribution costs are greatly reduced

  • No Space Restriction

Stable structure due to extrusion molding and the honeycomb structure

As it is structurally stable, deep laying is possible in a tiny space

Possible depth of laying: 5m or more

  • Great Reduction in Construction Period

As transportation is easy and installation is simple, the construction period is significantly reduced

Can install in any of the 4 seasons, including the winter season

Based on Singok District 6, Gimpo :55-day installation/construction (14,000 tons)

  • Reduction in Civil Complaints During Construction

As heavy equipment is not required during construction, there will be no noise or dust scattering

As the vehicles entering the site will be small, there will be no traffic congestion

  • Smooth Maintenance

Suppress deposit inflow through the operation of a pre-treatment tank

Smooth cleaning process through the maintenance equipment and lower open type

Remove sludge & clean using the automatic-driving robot

  • Structural Stability

Stable for surface load, traverse load, seismic load

Stable for axial load due to the single compression extrusion molding

Stable for traverse load and seismic load due to the most stable honeycomb structure

Classification Categories
Those bearing legal obligations

-manufacturing area or industrial complex with a scale of 1500000m² or higher

-manufacturing area or industrial complex that discharges 200t or more of waster water containing specific substances harmful to the water quality per day

-if the amount of waste water discharged is more than 5000t per day (areas within 1km of the borders of Han River, Nakdong River, Geum River, Yeongsang River, Seomjin River, or Tamjin River)

Volume determined based on inflow of water leaked due to discharge accidents, intimal rainwater, connected treatment of stored water, regional characteristics
Scale around 500t~ 3,000t (in the case that the volume of the initial water reduction facility is included, for use of a large storage tank)
Sales target customers-local government/planner-civil engineering (water and sewage department)

Order of Construction
  • 1. Installation of inlet and ground slab
  • 2. Installation of structural members and maintenance equipment (1st day)
  • 3. Installation of structural members (by workers)
  • 4. Detailed structural member installation
  • 5. Completion of installation of honeycomb structure (2nd day)
  • 6. Installation of upper deck and waterproof work (3rd~4th days)
Stability Verification
Stability verification by 「world’s top “Midas IT” in the field of structural analysis
“Midas IT,” which owns the world’s best technology in the field of structural analysis verified the stability by conducting structural analysis

Due to the single-body extrusion molding structure, stable for upper load and traverse load

As it is a facility with a honeycomb structure : - Excellent upper load dispersion effect - stable for traverse load

As it is structurally stable, deep laying without space constraints is possible
